INTRODUCTION, AND WHAT STATE IS THE TREASURE IN?
This blog is about Forrest Fenn's hidden treasure. Millionaire Forrest Fenn packed a treasure chest and hid it for us to find. If you find it, keep the "where" secret. I'd love to watch a movie about Forrest and have the treasure's hiding spot be revealed only then.
My solve involves the originally published map, as can be found on True West Magazine:
I've marked the bottom, corner for you. It's highlighted, but in the shadowed. What does highlighted mean, anyway? And my area is on the map. If you can't get past that don't read on.
Also, the Rockies extend into Texas. Here is a screenshot of some Google results.
If you can't get past that, don't read on.
Forrest Fenn's poem, written to help us find treasure he hid, contains clues. I think the nine clues are:
I also think golf factors in. Double Eagle, Links, and this image taken from Mountainwalk blog:
I've turned it sideways and written on it. Mountainwalk says that is Forrest's map from Thrill of the Chase.
Elevation:
Forrest said it is above 5000 ft less than 10,200 ft above sea. So, the treasure has to be below 5000 feet above sea level.
The math here would be
10,200 - (5000 + n) = total elevation.
The elevation in the city of my solve is 865, and the zip code is 78657.
MY SOLVE: WHAT U.S. STATE
After watching all these videos listed on Forest Fenn's website (bottom left side of home page) and doing research I have decided the treasure is in Texas.
Here's one of the headstones in the area I believe the treasure is in. The other headstone says, "Arledge." This one says, "J. Ali Arlige." The "D" is missing. We can talk about that later.
Well, more posts later.
I think your way off! Too BAD
